Small acts of kindness at the Dubai Metro

-

I was supposed to pick up my mom from the train station. I tried calling her to know when she was arriving and where exactly to meet me. But her phone died. I was worried and unsure.

A kind stranger on the train noticed her distress and let my mom use a power bank so she could charge a bit to at least send me a quick message. Take note, that passenger had to get off at the next station, but still offered to help.

Before that, my mom had already asked another passenger to find me on Facebook and send me a message – to say she got low bat. And indeed someone politely messaged me with full details I needed to know.

It might be petty for some, but these little acts of kindness can mean so much.

My mom was very thankful for the 2 strangers. Otherwise, she would’ve worried about how she could reach home. That was 11:00 in the evening.

This story reminds us to be kind even in the littlest things. Never underestimate the significance of your actions. I want to believe that there are far more kind people in the world than not.
