PR – With the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships kicking off in just under a week from now, sports fans are in for a treat this year with top tennis action on offer on all courts throughout the fortnight, including courts 1, 2 and 3 for which entry is free.
Tournament Director Salah Tahlak said today “We are delighted that fans will be able to see the world’s best in action at this year’s Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. As we have so many top players competing, it is guaranteed that a number of them will play some early round matches on courts 1, 2 and 3”.
While tickets to Centre Court again proved to be the hottest thing in town, there are still tickets available for women’s week and the first few days of men’s week from the box office at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. Some lucky fans will also be able to win tickets to the finals in the exciting competitions running before and during the tournament
Fans who purchase grandstand tickets for the first 3 days of each week can go in a competition to win coveted finals tickets by simply taking a photograph of themselves in the grandstand with their ticket or wristband for that day. If they post the photograph on the tournament’s twitter, instagram or foursquare accounts they will enter the daily draw to win finals tickets. All details are available on the tournament’s facebook page.
“We are looking forward to a wonderful fortnight of action both on and off the court with a full schedule of activities in the tennis village. Several competitions on ARN radio stations and here in the Village means there are still lots of chances to win finals tickets. With exciting matches on courts 1,2 and 3, and the big screens showing centre court action, the Tennis Village is the place to be from 18 February to 2 March” Tahlak added.
Play begins on 18th February with the WTA Tour event that features an incredible eight of the world’s top 10. Beginning on 18th February, the greatest tennis show in the Middle East will feature Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams as well as former Grand Slam winners Petra Kvitova, Ana Ivanovic, Samantha Stosur, as well as defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska.
