2014 Holidays in UAE

-

There are more or less 10 public holidays every year in UAE. Sometimes the number of days off are modified by the respective ministries. At times, they adjust it to have long weekends.

Below are the listed holidays in 2014 (but as we all know, the start of Eid still depends on moon sighting):

1 January, Wed – New Year’s Day
12 January, Sun – Milad Un Nabi (The Prophet’s Birthday)
27 May, Tue – Lailat Al Miraj (The Prophet’s Ascension)
28-29 July, Mon – Eid Al Fitr
4-6 October, Sat – Eid Al Adha
25 October, Sat – Al Hijra (Islamic New Year)
2 December, Tue – UAE National Day
