Watch Dubai’s record-breaking New Year’s Eve fireworks

Dubai is in the history books once again – Guinness Book of World Records actually – as the famous landmarks Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Atlantis The Palm and The World Islands glow brightest and impressed nations tonight.

Six minutes of over 400,000 glittering fireworks from The Palm and The World islands amazed the universe and was able to break the world record formerly held by Kuwait. The spectacular display was seen across the 100 kilometer span of Jumeirah shoreline

The Dubai World Record team have roped in the men and women at Grucci to produce an unimaginable programme for tonight, including a laser etching of an aerial countdown, a pixel burst flying falcon and a UAE flag and a ‘sunrise’ at midnight.” – report

Burj Khalifa has once again delighted us with its iconic towering fireworks display.
