We couldn’t see each other physically – no pick-up and drop-offs, no dates, none of these. I was in Dubai, she was in Manila. Everything happened online. No Facebook, WhatsApp, or Zoom yet; Mobile internet wasn’t a thing then. Those were the glory days of Friendster and Yahoo Messenger.
It was a ‘Love on Lockdown’ on a long distance.
